A Moth's Lifecycle

Emily found this Giant Leopard Moth in our yard.  There was obviously something wrong with it.  It looked like it was dying.

Turns out that she was laying eggs.  They were a beautiful pearly purple color.

A few days later, the eggs hatched and the mom died.

We put them in this jar to grow.

They grew and grew.  We let most of them go.  We kept about 20 and they grew really big.
