Meeting Emeril Lagasse

We read that Chef Emeril Lagasse was filming his new TV show "Emeril Green" at our local Whole Foods store so we headed down there to watch the action.  It was really cool to see all the cameras, television screens and people needed to make a television show.  The producer yelled cut at one point during this scene because the kids and I accidentally walked into camera view and Emeril and the lady in the pink shirt had to start all over.  Oops!

The lady in pink is the lady who is having a "cooking challenge" and needs Emeril's help.  He took her over to the Gelato Bar and got some tomato gelato and something like hot sauce gelato.  I didn't know they even had those flavors.  The photo below is of part of the camera crew.  Emeril and the lady in pink are beyond them at the Gelato Bar.

And then finally getting to meet Emeril and getting his autograph.  Ethan bought a cookbook and Emeril signed it.  Ethan was THRILLED!!!  He couldn't stop shaking from all the excitement of meeting Emeril.  For those of you who don't know, Ethan wants to be a chef when he grows up.

 

 

He was very personable with the kids and kept waving to them in between takes and spent some time talking to them when he did the book signing.

"Emeril Green" will begin airing in July on Planet Green.  Look for the episode with the lady in the pink shirt cooking oysters.  You may see us in the background somewhere.
